Poem to my godmother Mary Saup Skinner Across the sea, a silver wing. To find the song his heart would sing In a land of strange and golden light He found his flame and held her tight. He bore her back through clouds of gray To where thier shared tomorrow lay For 8 bright years ,the sun stood still Two lives entwined by single will Through seasons eight of bloom and frost They lived a life where none was lost But then the wind began to to sigh And called his name back to the sky He flew away, beyond the blue Leaving the world they both once knew The flight is done, the years are told A love remains that won't grow cold ... Rest in Peace my beloveth Papa. ALLAN
