In loving memory of Donald “Don” Simpson who sadly passed away on 4th May 2018
SIMPSON Don
Don, late of Chermside, passed away peacefully in the Parkview Nursing Home on Friday 4th May 2018. At the time of his passing Don was 76 years of age.
Don leaves behind the love of his life and best friend Brenda and loving children; Grant, Katrina, Scott and their partners.
Don, or Grandad as he was better known, will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren Skye, Cooper, Jade and Amber each of whom will remember him for his fun-loving nature, gentleness, positive spirit and wonderful sense of humour.
We are very proud of Dons life and achievements, particularly his endeavours on the football field. Don played A grade rugby league for Norths Devils, winning a record eight Grand Finals. Don also had the honour of representing Brisbane. He played front row and on the field he was a fearsome competitor! Off the field, it would be hard to find a more gentle and loving soul, particularly to his close friends and family.
Don was a much loved and respected businessman in the sporting sector with over 25 years of service. He will be greatly missed, particular by those in the golfing industry.
At this time, Dons family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and support staff of Parkview Nursing Home for the loving care and attention that they so freely gave to both Don and his family in his final days.
Dons family and friends are respectfully requested to attend his celebration of life service that will be held in the Chapel of the Pinnaroo Crematorium, within the grounds of the Pinnaroo Lawn Cemetery 284 Graham Road Bridgeman Downs on Thursday 10th May 2018. Dons service will commence at 1pm.
