In loving memory of Jack Lordan who sadly passed away on 22nd January 2021
LORDAN Jack
Late of Runcorn, passed away peacefully in the Princess Alexandra Hospital on Friday 22nd January 2021. At the time of his passing Jack was just 89 years of age.
Jack leaves behind the love of his life and soulmate Margaret as well as his loving children Dianne, Stephen (Deceased), Craig and their partners Gary and Alexia.
Jack or Grandad also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren Emma, Joel, Tayla and Jai and great grandchild Pippa. Each of whom will remember him for his humour, attention, support and loving advice.
Jack was born in Rockhampton into a large working-class family and as Jack grew older he looked after the younger members of the family. His younger years included World War 2 where he developed a love for cycling eventually becoming a champion cyclist in both track and road events.
Jack and Margaret married in 1955 celebrating 65 years last year and their common focus was on the family where nothing was ever too much trouble. Jack spent his whole working life in the Railway living in Rockhampton until 2002 when they moved to Brisbane to be closer to their four grandchildren. He spent the last years as the primary carer for Margaret, providing a loving environment in what would sometimes be very difficult times. He gave all he had for his family and his wife and will be sorely missed.
At this time Jack’s family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Support staff of the Princess Alexandra Hospital for their kindness, attention and support that made Jack’s final days as peaceful as possible.
Jack’s family and friends are warmly invited to attend his celebration of life service that will be held in the Chapel of the Mt Gravatt Crematorium 582 Mains Road Macgregor (Within the Grounds of the Mt Gravatt Cemetery) on Thursday 28th January 2021 commencing at 10:30 am.
