Margaret passed away peacefully in the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital on Monday 25th July 2022. At the time of passing Margaret was 90 years of age.
Margaret lost Jack, the love of her life, 18 months ago and leaves behind his loving children Dianne, Stephen (Deceased), Craig and their partners Gary and Alexia.
Margaret (Grandma) also leaves behind her adoring grandchildren Emma, Joel, Tayla and Jai and great grandchild Pippa. Each of whom will remember her for her care, attention, support and loving advice.
Margaret and Jack married in 1955 and celebrated 65 years in 2020. Their unwavering focus was on their family where nothing was ever too much trouble. Margaret spent most of her life providing a safe and comfortable home until 2002 when they moved to Brisbane to be closer to their four grandchildren.
For the past few years Margaret suffered from the terrible condition of dementia which prevented her from doing most of the things she had loved. During the last 18 months Margaret was a resident of Tricare Mt Gravatt Aged Care Residence and the family thanks the staff for their care.
At this time Margaret’s family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Support staff of the QEII Hospital for their kindness, attention and support that made Margaret’s final days as peaceful as possible.
Margaret’s family and friends are warmly invited to attend her celebration of life service that will be held in the Chapel of the Mt Gravatt Crematorium 582 Mains Road Macgregor (Within the Grounds of the Mt Gravatt Cemetery) on Thursday 4th August 2022 commencing at 2:00 pm.
For those who are unable to attend, the service will be live streamed and the link and access code of 8219.
