SPENCER Neville (Neville has gone fishing)
Originally of Bundaberg and late of Mitchelton. Neville passed away peacefully in the Royal Brisbane and Woman’s Hospital on Sunday 5th March 2017.
At the time of his passing he was just 89 years of age.
Neville leaves behind his loving wife and soulmate Hazel and loving daughters Sue-Maree, Jenny, Kaye and their partners who will forever miss him.
Neville or Grandpa or Great Grandpa as he was better known will also be deeply missed by his adoring Grandchildren, Claire, Craig, Jocelyn, Phoebe, Nicholas, Bethany and Sam and great grandchildren Finn, Liam, Archie, Ava and Ruby. Each of who will remember him for his jokes, storytelling, laughter and unconditional love.
As a young man, Neville especially loved fishing and playing football. He enjoyed the great outdoors and liked to go camping with his family.
Neville will always be remembered by his friends from Queensland Rail as the shunting king who always got the trains in the correct order. Also, his love of dancing with his darling Hazel on their many social outings was legendary.
His sense of adventure gave him a rich repertoire for his many stories. He loved seeing new places and was a faithful keeper of the facts and figures that interested him.
At this time Neville’s family, would like to sincerely thank the Doctors, Nurses and Support staff of the Royal Brisbane and Woman’s Hospital for the unrelenting care and support that they offered to Neville and his family to make his final days comfortable and as peaceful as possible.
Neville’s family and friends are warmly invited to attend his celebration of life service that will be held in the Lakeview Chapel of the Albany Creek Memorial Park 400 Albany Creek Road Bridgeman Downs on Wednesday 15th March 2017. Neville’s service will commence at 11:00 am sharp.
At Neville’s request and in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Salvation Army
As an old fisherman, maybe Neville’s last prayer was
God grant that I may live to fish another day.
And when it comes to my last cast, I will most humbly pray,
When in the Lords safe landing net I’m peacefully asleep.
That in His mercy I be judged as good enough to keep.
Amen.
