Andrew Paul Pemberton
Originally from Sydney, New South Wales and late of New Farm Queensland

Andrew passed away after a short illness on Wednesday, 17th June 2026, surrounded by the deep love of his family. He was just 56 years old, a life far too short, yet one filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering love.

Andrew is the dearly loved and devoted husband of Obre, his soulmate in life and love. He was the loving and supportive step-father to Hannah and Chelsea, best friend of Adam since school and cherished friend to many others.

He was the son of Barry and Annick, brother to David, James and Paul.

Andrew also leaves behind his loyal and much-loved fur babies: Monkey, Morris and Elton who brought him daily joy and companionship and unrelenting puppy love.

Though his passing has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him, the love he gave so generously and the memories he created will live on in his family forever. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and always carried in the hearts of those who were blessed to call him theirs.

Messages from Friends & Family

Dearest Andrew, I will forever miss our daily conversations chats via Teams and our face-to-face problem solving, and the reminiscing of 80's-90's music and childhood woes in the beer garden of the Hellenic Club. From The Chantoozies to BBQs Galore to Sizzler to Halifax F.P, every topic was on the table and only YOU could make everything seem and sound so funny. You taught me so much about resilience, acceptance and forgiveness. I will do my best to put into practice what I now know. I don't know what else to say except it was truly an honour to know you. You simply were the best, and your innate goodness will ensure your light will shine forever. Ben

Andrew was a valued member of the care minutes assurance team and will be missed. He had a great sense of humour and was always willing to help his colleagues out. Rest easy Andrew. Condolences to Andrew’s family and friends.

Andrew was a caring young man who looked out and loved his mum. His presence will be sorely missed.

The world has lost a truly kind soul. Andrew was a thoughtful, smart, funny man who would go to the end of the Earth for the people he loved. Andrew was always there for me- helping me and guiding me like a father; which he was never obligated to do but he did it anyway. Andrew would quite literally break his back to help me in my young adulthood- driving me places, helping me move, installing my washing machine and being a listening ear to give me advice on things. Although he filled the role of a parent- Andrew never expected to replace my dad. Andrew treated me with love, kindness and respect just because he was that kind of person. Miss you always. Chelsea

While I can’t be there from Sydney today my heart is with you all. Andrew was a special friend having known him since I was 16 he never left my side. Our friendship stood the tests of life and then some. He meant the world to me and he lived life on his own terms and I always respected him for that. I will miss so many things, his laugh, his advice, his calls to me when parra play. I can still see us at footy games with Barry laughing drinking beer and cheering for our team together. Rest not in peace my friend but in the way u lived life to the fullest. The sky will always be brighter to me now thinking of u. Love u always eels man Natalie x

Lacie and I didn’t get to spend much time with Andrew, but the time we did spend will be remembered fondly, and the photos we have will always remind us of those wonderful memories. Thank you for showing my auntie true love and welcoming us in to see your happy lives. "What we do for ourselves, leaves this world with us.. But what we do for others, and the world, remains, is, and always will be - Immortal!"
