In loving memory of Brian David Clarke who sadly passed away on 5th May 2016
CLARKE Brian David
Late of Springwood, Buderim, Laidley and the open road of Australia.
Brian passed away unexpectedly on Thursday 5th May 2016 at the young age of 74 years.
At the time Brian and April were on their travels in Chinchilla
Brian will be sadly missed by his loving wife April and adoring children David, Vickielee, Terri and their partners.
Brian or Poppy as he was better known will also be deeply missed by his doting grandchildren Andie, Shannon, Steele, Mitchell, Zack, Lochlan, Rachael and Jacob, Great Grandchildren: Bailey, Kaelan, Deyon, Zahlia, Brennan and Lucinda each of whom will remember him in their own way but most probably for the constant teasing, tickles and loving advice.
For the past 11 years the Paint tins remain empty and the brushes have been put away in favour of the open road Brian and April together enjoying life together
A Caravanner’s Prayer
We pray for nice weather, for wind in our tail.
We pray that the post office hangs on to our mail.
We pray that the ground is flat in the park.
We pray those dogs don’t bark all the night.
We pray that the water is ok to drink.
We pray that the sunsets are rosy and pink.
We pray for connection to ring folks back home
So they will remember their parents who roam.
We pray that our photos will turn out ok.
We pray that the storm will hold off one more day.
We pray that those oysters won’t make us feel ill.
We pray that the car makes it up that steep hill.
We pray for clear skies to view stars at night.
We pray that we’ll eat well and sleep well at night.
We pray that this road won’t turn into a track.
We pray we’ll be able to find our way back.
We pray for good coffee the next time we stop
And the beer is cold when the weather is hot.
We pray for this chance to do just as we will.
We pray we can travel ‘til we’ve had our fill.
Brian’s relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his celebration of life service that will be held in the chapel of the Great Southern Memorial Park 1774-1794 Mt Cotton Road, Carbrook on Thursday 12th May 2016. Brian’s service will commence at 1:00 Pm
