In loving memory of Cary Alfred Pratten who sadly passed away on 23rd January 2017
PRATTEN Cary Alfred
Cary was born in Innisfail Queensland however most people would know him from Annerley and Forest Lake. Cary passed away after his final battle with cancer in the Wesley Hospital on Monday 23rd January 2017 at the very young age of 43 years.
Cary leaves behind his loving wife, best friend and soulmate Shiralee, as well as his adoring children Steele and Ember who will forever remember their dad for his devotion to family and love that never wavered.
Cary will be sadly missed by his parents Cathy and Neal, his brother Aaron, Grandmother Nessie, Aunties, Uncles, and Cousins who loved him dearly.
Cary will also be sadly missed in the football community where Cary was a parent, coach, volunteer and always a loyal friend to many. Cary was a regular at Lions Football Club and Oxley Futsal Factory where there will be many members both current and past who will have fond memories of Cary. Cary was always ready for a chat about the game, the kids playing or life and he treasured every friend that he made along the way. Please feel free to attend the service in the club colours where you knew Cary.
At this time, Cary’s family, would like to sincerely thank the Doctors, Nurses and support staff of the Wesley Hospital for the love care and attention that they so freely gave. Shiralee would also like to give a special thank you to Dr Ralph McConaghy and Dr Jones Chen who cared for Cary like he was family and showed Shiralee, Steele and Ember that palliative care was about life and love.
Cary’s family and friends are warmly invited to attend his celebration of life service that will be held in the Heritage Park Crematorium 113 Stuart Street Goodna on Tuesday 31st January 2017. Cary’s service will commence at 11:30 Am
