Charlie passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday 23’d of Augustst 2017.At the time of his passing Charlie was 96 years of age.
Charlie has now re-joined the love of his life and soul mate and wife Thelma who passed before him.
Charlie will also be sadly missed by his loving children Alice, Roy (dec) Ken, Lenny, Peter, their partners and families. Charlie has also re-joined his brothers Keith and George (dec)-
Charlie or Grandpa Charlie will also be sadly missed by his adoring 18 grandchildren 23 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, who will forever remember him for his loving advice.
At this time Charlie’s family would like to thank the Nurses and Support staff of Bramble place at Regis Sandgate for the love, care and attention that they so freely gave to make Charlie’s life happy and peaceful as possible in his final days.
Charlie or Chilla as he was known to his army mates, official title was Charles John Wood QX086780 who served Australia proudly with the 157 AGT Attached to 31/51 Battalion will also be sadly missed by his mates.
Charlie’s family and friends are respectfully invited to attend his celebration of life service that will be held in the Chapel of the Pinnaroo Crematorium 294 Graham Road Bridgeman
Downs.
Charlie’s service will be held on Wednesday 30tn Augustst 2o17 and will commence at 2pm.
Following the Service, Charlie’s family invite you to join them to share refreshments and memories at the Virginia Golf Club.
