Chrissie passed away on Wednesday, 30th September 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was just 76 years old, a life far too short, yet one filled with love, devotion, laughter, faith and beautiful memories.
Chrissie was a proud, loving and caring mother to her adored children, Johannes, Patricia and their partners. She was a devoted mother whose love and presence were at the very heart of the family.
A cherished Ouma, Chrissie leaves behind her much-loved grandchildren: Deidre, Tanya, Bianca and Jean-Pierre. She shared a very special bond with each of them, a bond that will remain in their hearts forever. They will always remember her warmth, her humour, her kindness and the special place she held in their lives.
Chrissie was a beautiful soul, kind and gentle, deeply loved by her family and adored by her many friends. She had a big heart that touched the lives of everyone she met, and she cared with every bone in her body. She was truly the light of our lives, and her passing has left an enormous emptiness.
She endured so much throughout her life, yet remained strong and steadfast in her faith. She was admired for the daily passages she wrote for many years, sharing words of faith and encouragement with others. Her devotion to the Lord was a beautiful and constant part of who she was.
She will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour, her sensitivity, generosity, quiet strength and unwavering devotion to the Lord. She had a gentle and beautiful spirit, and the kindness she gave so freely will stay with us.
We feel incredibly privileged and blessed to have had Chrissie in our lives. Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in the love, laughter, faith and precious memories she leaves behind. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
