Deryck passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on 14th September 2022.

A beloved husband to Eileen, devoted father to Sharyn and Andrew, proud granddad of Tyler, Lincoln, Kurtis, Eloise, Abi, Harri, Sienna and Harper, and great grandad to Wyatt.

Deryck, Deek, Big D, Captain, Captain Diesel, Dixie, Dad, Grandad. Whichever name we knew him by, he was a great mate and much loved friend to many and leaves a lifetime of special memories to all who knew him.

Our hearts are broken but he can now rest peacefully without any more pain.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Deryck’s life, at Pinnaroo Chapel, 285 Graham Road, Bridgeman Downs on 23rdΒ September at 10.30am followed by a Graveside Service.

He travelled the roads
In years gone past
A life he chose and
Hoped it would last
From state to state
Trying to get home
And arriving so late.
He parked his truck now
His engine has stopped
And those who love him
Their hearts have dropped
He travelled the country
With a smile of great pride
Now he drives the streets of Heaven
On the truckers last ride

May god ride with you
10-4 good buddy and goodbye Deryck

Messages from Friends & Family

Dear Eileen, very saddened to hear of Deryck’s passing. What great times we had at the Pumpkin Festival especially with Dad (Coopie) and Deryck watching over the hot pots of soup…what good stirrers they were. I don’t know who was the worst at eating the hot corn meat as it was sliced up. What a great reunion they will be having up there with Mum ( Daph) cooking up a feast and those two overseeing it all. Treasured memories and apologies for not being able to attend in person. Love to you EileenπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•
