In loving memory of Irene Alice Joy Stanton
Irene passed away peacefully on Wednesday, the 13th of December, 2023, surrounded by her family at her nursing home located in Bulimba, Brisbane. Her sharp mind, wisdom and strength of spirit remained strong, as did her gratitude and appreciation of the small daily blessings she received. Irene was 97 years young at the time of her passing.

All things of matter will fade away and become absorbed in the dust of which your earthly life is made. Ambitions, desires, the acquisition of wealth, all these are of no account, but you will always remain as spiritual beings, and your richness will be just what is contained within your own nature, no more, no less; that is the lesson to be learned in all earthly life. If you learn it, you are wise because you have found yourself, and having found yourself, you will have found the Great Spirit.
Irene’s family and friends are warmly invited to attend her celebration of life service that will be held in the Chapel of the Hemmant Cemetery, 500 Hemmant and Tingalpa Roads, Hemmant Brisbane. (located in the grounds of the Hemmant Cemetery).
After the chapel service, those in attendance are welcome to follow the hearse to the cemetery, where Irene will be placed at rest.
Afterwards, Irene’s family invite you to join them for light refreshments at the Fielders Club located at 35 Bognor Street, Tingalpa. 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm
For those who are unable to attend the Chapel service, it will be available to watch via live stream. (Chapel service only)
