Courage. - - - - Translation “ I was Maxime's French teacher when he was 17, one of my most brilliant, inventive and receptive students. He found me in 2014 on Facebook and told me with talent what we had brought him, the late Daniel Châtelain (his other French teacher, and my friend) and myself: more than knowledge, a certain way of existing and a certain relationship to knowledge, a generous and humanist conception of the transmission of passions, an art of living that he told me he had applied to his whole life. Bravo to him for having followed his dreams, a huge hug of friendship to his wife and his beloved children, who will continue their story! Courage.”

I worked with Loic at Lavalla, and then eventually at LVBA, for about four years. In that time, he taught me so much about myself and about the industry and he helped develop my confidence in a way nobody has ever been able to. I was truly rocked to my core to learn about his passing. My heart aches knowing that our last interaction wasn’t on the best of terms, and I will never be able to resolve that now. He was an absolute powerhouse of passion with a lot of love to give. Loic, you were a massive influence on my growth into the adult I am, and I hope you’re at peace. My heart and my prayers are with Lee and the children during this time. Rest in peace, Loic

He persevered and succeeded, left France and in this faraway country was able to realize his dreams. This school. his wife Lee and his children are what he loved most in the world as well as his mother, his brother and his sister. He was a kind, devoted man, sharing all his knowledge in order to help all those who wanted to make their dreams come true. You will always be Maxime in my heart and in my thoughts as well as your wife and children that you loved so much."

I started vocal classes with Loic back in Lavalla, when it was him, a piano, a music stand and a student. Back then his dreams were WAY too big for the room, and that rehearsal space. It has been an honour to watch Loic step into his dreams; meeting Lee, starting LVBA, and having two more gorgeous babies to add to his family. Loic was the the first creative mentor I've had that made me feel seen. He helped me step into the light and embrace what made me unique, holding my hand when I stumbled. I used to describe him to my friends as a stubborn visionary french man. He supported Ben & I with our new creative business, always offered unfiltered feedback (which made us stronger for it) and was always available for a quick philosophical query. The creative world will miss his cheeky charisma, bold statements & hilarious stubbornness, but in his legacy, his incredible values will live in. So much love 💕

- - - Translation "Hello everyone, you who like us love Maxime. When he was young he wanted to be an artist and he defied the encouragement to create his own school and his family full of love. Thank you for everything you brought him. Thank you Maxime for the inspiration you still give me because your life, your choice to go to the other side of the world in an unknown country, your perseverance to achieve your dreams and create your own training school which encourages and supports many people from different backgrounds towards performance are as I wrote to you a source of motivation for me and my children. It's really a shame that you left so early and at the same time I think you already had a fully accomplished life. You fulfilled yourself and you were very happy, that's what consoles me. For your children, your wife, your ex-wife, your mother and your brothers and sisters, I wish them that their pain diminishes as much and as quickly as possible by remembering that you had a beautiful life, the one you chose and that we must all follow your example in perseverance. Hugs to all. Maxime remains in our hearts and is therefore not gone."

Translation "I met you when you were 9 years old. You managed to do what you loved and you seemed very happy. Big kisses to your children and your family."

Loic was such a passionate person with a huge love of the arts and a love for sharing it with others. Thank you for everything you have done with supporting and sharing the love of the performing arts with your students. Sending my love to everyone and most importantly, Loic's family. Your shining light will be missed but never forgotten.

I have known Loic for the better half of a decade as a student of his and most recently a peer, I’m still coming to terms with his passing. My heart aches for his family and for the theatre community who has lost one of its most devout and passionate members. Sending all of my love to Lee and their children

Well, there's so much to say... because you gave so much to me and other people... You are the MC of all my unforgettable nights in paris in the 90's, the man who gave me passion for singing, how to behave on scene, so much fun and so much human chats... Even we didn't met for years, i still fill a whole on me, because you've shared so much of your light and your energy that now i feel like a personnal loss... Anyway, i cherish all that moments with you and i'm proud that i've known you Take care my friend, may your rest be good, as your heart was sweet... To Lee and your four beautiful children, keep talking to him thinking about him, remembering sweet moments with him, as if he were still with you, you all have a piece of his heart and soul for ever...
