Messages from Friends & Family

Nigel was one very delightful human being and I will miss our many conversations which of course, included the topic of sport. This world will be a lesser place without his gentle, kind and thoughtful nature, but his presence will live on through my happy memories.

Love you all very much and am thinking if you all on this sad day..I'll be having a drink poolside in Bali to remember all the good times I've shared with Uncle Nige...When him and Dad got together over the years there was always a good time to be had and lots of music and Nigel's infectious jokes. I loved listening to him and Dad laughing together..Especially when he said "It's bloody fantastic" in his pommie accent! Dad and Nigel were very different people and lived very different lives but them and our families have always remained close and now even more so with all of us cousins living closer and sharing our children's lives together..Rest in peace uncle Nigel with your Mum, Dad and brother..The end of an era...All of us and especially Alex, Dan and Ryan will continue with their families to make you proud xx Lisa

Sending our love to you all from the UK. We have only known Nigel for a mere 12 years but that was enough time for us to get to know him. He always made time for us on our visits down under and badgered us for how we could make a more permanent move to live in Australia and it didn’t matter how many times we explained the immigration rules and restrictions he never gave up on genuinely wanting it for us. Nigel may have lived most his life with you all in Australia but being born in the UK meant he was a POM at heart. We are so sorry he never got to realise that trip he wanted back to the UK to do his road trip around his roots. We won’t forget Nigel, his smile, his golf skills, his passion for sport (any), his love of MAFS! and of course his naff jokes!!! Today as you celebrate his life, know we are there in thought with you all. Be there as soon as we can to give you all hugs. Matt and Julie xx
