Messages from Friends & Family

I am sorry I cannot be there today to honour Grandma with you all. I like to think of her now, up in heaven with her beloved dogs and family, cooking up a storm just like she always did—showing her love the way she knew best, by feeding and caring for everyone around her. Though she is gone, she is not forgotten. Her love of food, animals big and small, and her quick-witted humour live on in her family and in the memories we all share. Declan and I are thinking of her today and sending our love to all of you. She will always be in our hearts.

Due to being interstate, I won't be able to make it for your final goodbye, but know i'll be watching and thinking of you and some of the lasting memories you've given me. You opened your doors and looked after us when i was just 17. You kept throwing out my favorite shirt because it had holes in it, and i kept getting it back. You were most cranky with me about it. The last time I saw you and Dan, it was like i'd seen you only a few days earlier, but you always made me feel welcome. You will now be with Dan, and of course, i'm sure my mum is waiting to have some laughs with you. You'll be greatly missed, but you'll never be forgotten. Big love to Trevor, Adrian and Sharon - it's hard, but stick together. Christopher, Satika and all the rest of the grandchildren, you were lucky to have such a strong lady at the helm for so many years. Rest easy xx
