In loving memory of Peter David Mott who sadly passed away on 23rd October 2018
MOTT Peter David
Peter passed away in Redcliffe Hospital on Tuesday 23rd October 2018. At the time of his passing Peter was just 67 years of age.
Originally from Adelaide, South Australia and late of Morayfield. Born to Roy Thomas Mott and Vera Amanda Anderson, and younger brother of Kevin.
Peter leaves behind the love of his life and soul mate Leah (Lynn) whose life will forever be different because of the relationship that they have. Peter also leaves behind his daughters Ngawinika, Sarina, and son Peter, 13 moko (grandchildren) & 7 great-moko (great-grandchildren).
An infamous lolly addict, he is remembered by his family as someone who always had lollies or chocolates hidden away for a sneaky snack.
Peter had an interesting journey in his life, he was a volunteer St Johns Ambulance officer in the 70’s. At 19, he chose to serve a two-year building mission in Sydney for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These experiences inspired him to work for The Church building chapels in Australia & New Zealand. After he was married, Peter moved his family to Central Australia & Northern Territory where he spent several years training and building in remote Aboriginal Communities. The later years of his working life were spent in New Zealand, working for charitable organizations in housing and insulation programs.
Peter’s remarkable commitment and contribution to his family, community, and his loving nature will never be forgotten.
Peter’s family and friends are respectfully invited to attend his celebration of life memorial service that will be held at the Burpengary Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (33 Buckley Road, Burpengary East, Queensland on Thursday 1st of November 2018. Peter’s service will commence at 2:00 Pm
