Timothy John Trask. “TIM”
Originally from New Plymouth and late of Waimate, New Zealand.
Tim passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, in the Timaru Hospital on Monday, 27th March 2023. At the time of his passing, Tim was only 78 years of age
Tim leaves behind the love of his life and soulmate, Gail, and children, Joelene and Clay.
Tim, or Poppa, or Grumpy Old Shit as he was better known, also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren Tyler, Brianna, Jasmyn and Niahm, each of whom will always remember him for constant teasing and loving advice.
Tim also leaves behind his many friends and workmates, each of whom will have many wonderful memories of his loyal friendship and the things they got up to behind the boss’s back. And we don’t know the half of it.
At this time, Tim’s family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and Support staff of The Timaru Hospital (NZ) Palliative Care Unit for their care and attention that helped to make his final days as happy and peaceful as possible. He was still giving the nurses a hard time and made many of us laugh right up to the end.
In accordance with Tim’s wishes, he has been privately cremated.
